Some Facts

The South of France or Provence region is situated in the southeast of France. Its coastline stretches from Mandol to the italian border, Menton. The region covers an area of aproximately 30,000 square kilometres, and is divided into 5 "departements" or counties  (Bouches de Rhone, Vaucluse, Alpes de Haute Provence, Var, and Alpes Maritimes). It has a population of some 4 million people, and in avergae has 300 days of sun per year.
